We are super excited to bring it back to the place where it all began… post work gravel rips in t-shirts and the love of gravel riding. Grab your favorite shirt, tech tee, button down, dad shirt, retro throwback and your bibs, lycra or baggies and come hit the trails in Laguna Beach with us every first Friday of the month. Get those legs primed for a long weekend of training with post ride bevies and food at Laguna Beer Co. It’s like surfing, but on dirt!
The ride will start on a highly trafficked road for the first 3 miles in Laguna Canyon at a casual pace before hitting the first dirt segment at mile 4.5. It is imperative that we all ride no more than two wide, call things out in the road and listen to the ride leaders. This route is loose, steep, technical and has some big, hard climbs
Once we hit the dirt the group may split up depending on fitness levels as the terrain is steep but there will be spots to regroup. Please download the route before you come or download the Ride With GPS app and you can get turn by turn directions with our club routes. We will have one regroup at the Top of the World before descending back down to Laguna Beer Co, but this is not a no-drop ride. Let’s look out for each other! This ride is intended to challenge you and be fun, but this is not a race. Technical bike handling skills are recommended.
The route will take about 2 hours with regrouping and traffic lights. We plan to be back to Laguna Beer Co no later than 8pm for drinks and food. Please pack lights, layers, a flat kit and stoke.
Parking in Laguna Beach can be tricky, so we recommend leaving ample time to park and ride over. There is paid parking available in front of Laguna Beer Co on Frontage Road and another paid lot just to the west. You can also find free parking at "Lot 16" in Laguna Canyon.
You will be asked to sign the liability waiver prior to riding with us.
