As a Ride Guide, you become the living embodiment of our mission statement: Thank Gravel It’s Friday is not just about cycling; it's a celebration of adventures, friendships, and the joy of shredding gravel trails. We embrace individuality and self-expression on the bike – whether it's sporting shirts, flannels, baggies, or lycra. Our rides are a space where you can ride what you want, wear what you want, and share your love for challenging yourself on our favorite trails.

Your commitment as a Ride Guide:
Lead a minimum of one ride per month (Includes weekly Friday T-shirt rides and/or weekly Women Crush Wednesday rides)
Wear TGIF apparel to embody the spirit of our community
Share the stoke on your social channels and community

Requirements for Joining the TGIF Ride Guide Team:
Be a friendly, welcoming leader within the cycling community
Possess excellent bike handling skills and control while riding in a group
Demonstrate the ability to lead groups safely and responsibly
Basic trailside repair skills for minor mechanical issues
Excellent communication skills with a passion for helping others and having fun
Stay calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations
Maintain ride etiquette, enthusiasm, and a stoked attitude
Bonus: Ability to capture moments through video/pictures on a cell phone
Responsibilities of a Ride Guide:
Safety is your main priority.
Set expectations prior to ride.
Set and maintain an appropriate pace to lead the group and ensure cohesion.
Demonstrate the courage to address unsafe behavior, ensuring the well-being of all riders.
Continuously assess the group dynamics, making necessary adjustments to pace and other factors.
Promptly initiate contact with emergency assistance if required, prioritizing the welfare of the group.
Adhere to traffic laws.
Effectively communicate and call out any obstructions or obstacles for the safety of all riders.
Provide assistance in fixing flats and addressing minor mechanical problems.
Maintain ongoing communication with other ride guides, keeping them informed of the group's progress and notifying them when splits occur. This ensures the ride leader can strategically plan regrouping spots for a seamless and enjoyable experience.
