Curly bars, flat bars, knobby tires or skinny tires… Gnarshall Mesa rips! 1st Fridays we hit Marshall Mesa for a lap around Dirty Bismark and finish at Illegal Pete’s in South Boulder for salty margs and big burritos.
We will be rolling at 5:30pm from Illegal Pete’s for a 14-mile loop. Due to fires and air quality concerns we have shortened the route this week. There will be a neutral roll out to the trailhead where riders can ride at their own pace between regroups. We love this route as it is a mixed bag of terrain and has a lot of singletrack with beautiful views of the Flatirons in Boulder. We will have two regroups, one at the Mayoffer Trailhead & West Coal Creek Dr and one at the Marshall Mesa Trailhead Parking Lot before heading back together.
This route does have some technical riding involved including rock slabs and narrow, chunky singletrack. Bring lights, layers, flat kit, and everything you need to finish the ride. We will hang out at Illegal Pete’s after for food and drinks on the patio.
Know the route! We will have a couple spots to regroup, however, this is not a ‘no drop’ ride. This ride will require technical bike handling skills and may not be suitable for beginner riders. We will have a leader to guide the group and maintain a moderate pace.
